Dr. Sketchy's First Annual Art Show: Design Work
I sat down to write up a nice blog on the work that I just did for Dr. Sketchy's. But, I just couldn't find the right formula to get it all down concisely. Its my blog, so do I only talk about the work I just did for them? Or, do I talk about their One Year Anniversary festivities because they are planning an art monkey art show? Do I talk about the past few months and all the exciting things they have done?
Or do I just blow it all off and go eat some M&M's while sitting on my back deck and watching the sun rise through the trees, whilst you go do the leg work and check them out at www.drsketchyphilly.blogspot.com?
I do want to say this...the ladies that run the show are AMAZING (and you should find out for yourselves by attending one day...come on, stop being so lazy!). And I can't thank them enough for letting me share in their wonderful venture. They were kind enough to let me, once again, design a postcard for them. I'm proud to say that the card is being used to promote their 1st Annual Art Show...how cool is that???????
The amount of fun I had in working on this concept is beyond explanation. The mediums I used, the approach I took were all something that took me totally out of my comfort zone and challenged me like nothing has in quite some time. And to top it all off, when I attended their last session, I even sketched (gasp! the horror!). These women are inspiring and I appreciate the chance to shine with them....heck, at the last session I even scored an interview, based on my company, with a North Jersey paper - but more on that later. Now it is time to enjoy the new designs:
