Dr. Sketchy's

Hello and welcome to Madcow's first blog post!

With that said, let's moove on. (sorry, but with a name like Madcow, you better get use to horrible cow jokes!)

I've been a graphic designer for over 10 years now, and still to this day, there are jobs that come across my desk that excite me and make me realize this is why I do what I do.

One of those jobs was the March 2008 postcard for Dr. Sketchy's of Philly. The wonderful ladies that host this event kindly asked me to be a feature designer for this month. I was flattered that I would be asked, but nervous as well.

Their regular designer, Nicola Black, is a wonderful and talented artist. I have learned so much from her in just conversation alone. The postcards she has done for them have been outstanding, and I did not want to disappoint.

Well, below is my finished creation and I love it. I only hope Dr. Sketchy's does as well. This opportunity not only affords me a way to get my name out there, but its jobs like these that let a designer stretch their legs and work in a style that they might never get to touch. So, thank you Dr. Sketchy's and I can't wait to work with you guys again!
